TOEFL OG 解读（一）

    本文主要分享我对TOEFL的Offical Guide一书的学习心得。

    目前，TOEFL的Offical Guide已更新到了第4版，而gter上经典的“秋雨荆州”的解读还是第3版：http://bbs.gter.net/thread-1396000-1-1.html。所以，我除了阅读“秋雨”前辈的帖子外，仍需要自己浏览一遍第4版OG。我在阅读OG的时候，重点关注OG上对“四大题型”的介绍，并结合TPO模块软件，认真体会各个题型。下面，我根据“秋雨”前辈的帖子的格式，对第4版OG进行如下解读。

一、OG的四项考试内容概述

 

 

 

 

Reading skills from OG

1) Scan the passages to find and highlight key facts (dates,numbers,terms) and information.

2) Increase vocabulary knowledge, perhaps by using flashcards.

3) Rather than carefully read each word and each sentence, practice skimming a passage qiuckly to a general impression of the main idea.

4) Choose some unfamiliar words in the passage and guess the meanings from the context (surrounding sentences).

5) Select all the pronouns (he, him, they, them, and others) and identify which nouns each one refers to in the passage.

6) Practice making inferences and drawing conclusions based on what is implied in the passage as a whole.
